No Mistake Double Pasta Stir Fry

                                                                  
I have to give credit to my wonderful husband
 
for introducing me to cooking with whole
grains. I was a traditional shopper and
only purchased the regular pastas.

Quite honestly, I really didn't know that whole grains had such a unique flavor that really pop on the pallete. They are now the new staple food in my pantry along with plenty of brown rice.  

The sky is the limit with what you can do with whole grains, plus the nutrition value is heart healthy.  
      

I absolutely love fresh vegetables. Here we have fresh red, orange and yellow bell peppers, broccoli, and vidalia onions. I really look forward to growing my own organic vegetables this season.

No Mistake Ingredients:

Raw fresh vegetables:
3- bell peppers, 1 large onion, 2 broccoli heads. Choose any combination of your favorite fresh raw vegetables - Cut into thin 1/2 inch strips.
1/2 pound of whole Rozoni grain penne
1/2 pound of whole Rozoni grain rotini
1/2 pound of ground bison (optional) or you can also add chicken or lean ground beef  
1/4 cup of olive oil
1 tablespoon of Mrs Dash Original
1 tablespoon of Tone's Italian Seasoning                                                                                           
1/2 teaspoon of salt (optional)

Brown Bison until fully cooked.                                                                      
Stir Fry vegetables in virgin olive oil




Bring Penne and Rotini pastas to a boil according to directions 



Stir pasta in vegetables stir fry 

Add cooked bison
 
Great over organic spring mix lettuce blend and topped with a light salad dressing.





You can also enjoy this dish all by itself, which is equally delicious.



 Bison is a good source of protein and iron.
